Coronavirus, appointments and your surgery – do not come to the practice

In line with National (NHS England) guidance to reduce the spread of Coronavirus, Mythe Medical Practice will be instigating the following guidance from Monday 16th March.

It has been recommended that practices suspend routine appointments for the time being.

How will this affect you

From Monday 16th March we will only be offering urgent ‘on the day care’, with all patients being triaged over the telephone prior coming in to the surgery.

Patients with existing appointments will be contacted by the surgery and offered a telephone or video consultation at the time of their booked appointment.

Why we are doing this

This is a precautionary measure to allow us to ask patients questions prior to visiting the surgery. This will help us to identify any possible cases of Coronavirus and help avoid further spread of the virus.

Our primary concern is to keep patients / staff safe and to ensure that the practice continues to be able to operate effectively.

If you have Coronavirus Symptoms

If you have Coronavirus symptoms (a new persistent cough and / or a raised temperature over 37.8) DO NOT come in the the surgery. It is recommend that you self isolate for 7 days.

If you feel you feel you cannot cope at home or if your symptoms deteriorate please contact NHS 111.

How to contact us

Please contact the surgery via our website or call 01684 293278 if you require urgent ‘on the day care’.  We will then arrange a triage call for you from either a Doctor or a Nurse. We will aim to respond to both website and telephone calls within two hours.

We are aware that there are still some intermittent issues with our telephone  lines, and are doing our best to get this resolved.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
