Throughout the last 18 months we have all faced extreme uncertainty. The impact of Covid 19 and the restrictions enforced by the government to limit face to face contact for NHS services during the pandemic continue to have a profound effect. Mythe Medical Practice is working rapidly to restore services safely. Whilst we have never stopped seeing and treating patients throughout the pandemic, from today you can now choose how you would like to consult with a GP when you book a routine appointment. We will be offering pre-bookable (routine) face to face appointments as well as telephone or video consultations. Urgent ‘on the day’ care will still be triaged by telephone.
We are aware of the current mainstream media campaign against General Practice. Whilst it is disheartening to read such stories and extremely upsetting for our own staff to experience abuse first-hand from patients, we appreciate you may be worried, scared and frustrated. We share your concerns and are striving to provide the best service we can under continued unprecedented demand. Given the significant increase in demand there may be times you have to wait for longer than you, or we, would like to consult with a doctor of your choice, but, if your symptoms are getting worse, please contact our care navigators on 01684 293278 so we can deal with the problem more urgently.
