We now have all the required flu vaccines for patients over 65 years old and a supply for those patients under 65 with a qualifying long term health condition.
The people in these two categories, that still require their flu jab, are now being asked to contact the surgery to book on 01684 293278.
Whilst the Government announced back in June that healthy 50-64 year olds would be eligible for the flu vaccine this year, they have now informed us that they are not yet ready to release the vaccine stocks for this into surgeries to distribute.
Therefore the vaccine for patients aged 50 – -64 without a qualifying long term health condition has been delayed again and we do not know at this stage when it will be available.
Timelines provided by the Government for this to happen are changing constantly and we will continue to update you as we receive the information.
