Patient Safety

Whilst our GP’s & Nurses are treating an increasing number of patients both online and over the phone due to the current Covid-19 situation, some patients still need to come in to the surgery to see us.
We are doing the following things to help ensure the safety of
our patients during their visit…

Patients being seen with suspected Covid-19 symptoms are being asked to wait in their cars until their appointment and are being treated in a completely separate part of the building, with a separate entrance.

All other patients coming in to the surgery for appointments are being triaged over the phone first by a Doctor or a Nurse to ensure they are not showing any symptoms of Covid-19. Call 01684 293278 to arrange a triage call.

The main entrance to the building is locked and is only accessible via the intercom system if you have a pre-arranged appointment, this means we can control how many people are in the building at any one time. Please do not bring anyone else with you to your appointment.

We have hand sanitser stations just inside the front door and located around the waiting room. We ask that you sanitise your hands both on the way in and on the way out.

Patients are asked to stay 3 feet away from the reception desk when checking in and talking to our reception staff. Please also adhere to social distancing when walking in and around the building.

Our waiting room has ‘social distance’ seating, marked by green ticks on the chairs, appropriately spaced out around the room to ensure that you are waiting at a safe distance from others.
